Driving progress through effective programs and initiatives across all municipals in Zimbabwe and their allied institutions.
Training of stakeholders, employers, management, employees, trade unions, workers' committees, and works councils.
Conducts labour inspections ensuring adherence to codes of conduct, collective bargaining agreements, and other relevant labour market instruments.
Approves industry and individual institutions' codes of conduct for registration with the Ministry of Labour.
Facilitates agreements on retrenchment matters in the undertaking.
Represents the industry in any issues likely to affect the sector at all levels, covering all municipals in Zimbabwe and their allied institutions.
Dispute resolution through conciliation and arbitration in terms of the Labour Act Chapter 28:01.
Promoting the inclusion and equal participation of persons with disabilities in the workplace across all municipal undertakings.
Negotiates, registers, and monitors conditions of employment and minimum wages for the industry through collective bargaining agreements.
Advises both employers and employees on issues pertaining to industrial and labour relations.
