Advises both employers and employees on issues pertaining to industrial and labour relations.
Negotiates, registers, and monitors conditions of employment in the Industry.
Sets minimum wages for the Industry through collective bargaining.
Approves industry and individual institutions' codes of conduct for registration with the Ministry of Labour.
Facilitates agreements on retrenchment matters in the absence of a works council.
Represents the industry in any issues likely to affect the sector at all levels, covering all municipals in Zimbabwe and their allied institutions.
